next文件是一个只能用BTNext torrent客户端（BTNext Legacy、BTNext Evolution等）打开的torrent文件。其他一些torrent客户端可能能够识别扩展名改为.torrent的.next torrent文件。但是，这样的torrent文件可能无法使用，因为BTNext追踪器不支持任何torrent客户端，除了它自己的客户端。
